A young man with light hair looks contemplative while sitting by a window.

Man with a photo camera.

Except from the fact that I use a camera to make photographs I do not regard myself as a photographer. The idea of photographing for others has always made me uncomfortable, so my spell at being a wedding photographer was a short one.

I am a man with a photo camera, using the photograph as a medium for visual storytelling in black and white.

For me it all started with street photography. The process of observing and capturing candid, unmediated moments of everyday life changed my perspective on observation. This approach has also influenced me when it comes to portrait photography.

The camera is an excuse to be someplace you otherwise don’t belong. It gives me both a point of connection and a point of separation.
